They won the world title four times 1981-84 and were the 1984 Olympic champions. They turned professional shortly thereafter, but returned to international competition 1994 and immediately won the European Championship. They retired again from competitive ice dance after a bronze medal in the same year at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway.
